SCREWUP is having a BIG PARTY

screwup has been hosting DIY (Do-It-Yourself) BDSM skill-shares each month for over two years and the San Francisco Bay Guardian recently awarded screwup Best of the Bay 2005 - Outsider Education. The Big screwup Folsom Party is a BDSM play party for transgender folks, queers, genderqueers, and our friends and allies of all genders. All ages, all races, all kinds of folks welcome. If you think a diverse play space where all sorts of genders, bodies, sex-styles and play styles are welcomed and celebrated sounds hot, then this is the party for you!

screwup is going to be having this big huge party on the Saturday of Folsom Street Fair weekend. The date is September 24th, 2005.

The location is 2nd Floor at the Center For Sex And Culture at 398 11th Street (at Harrison Street), San Francisco.

It starts at 8:00 PM and ends at 2:00 AM.

There is a suggested donation of $5-15, but no one should feel uncomfortable coming in free since no-one will be unwelcome due to lack of funds. we'd rather have you and your sexy fun energy than worry bout money. all the funds go to reimburse the screwup folks who dug deep into their pockets to make this happen. any extra will be decided upon publicly.

screwup is DIY, and this is going to be one hot party because of the volunteers who make it happen. We still need tons of volunteers. We need folks to help do set-up and clean-up. People with cars, vans, and trucks to transport equipment, supplies, etc... People who are friendly and personable and able to talk to people for coat check. People who are good at introducing people and making people feel welcome for hosts and ambassadors. People who can hand out flyers. People who can publicize to your friends and the groups you are part of. People to help with decorations and props.

There are several transportation options for getting to the party. Take any MUNI metro and get off at Van Ness station. If you’re riding BART, get off at Civic Center station and take any MUNI metro one stop to Van Ness station. From Van Ness station, walk or ride up to the street level and catch the MUNI #47 bus outbound at South Van Ness and Market. Or you can walk the five city blocks down 11th Street to the party. From Cal rain, catch the MUNI #47 bus inbound at 4th Street and Townsend Street. The last CalTrain leaves San Francisco at 1:30 AM and the last Pittsburgh/Bay Point BART leaves San Francisco at 12:15 AM. The MUNI metro, BART, and the CalTrain are all wheel accessible. We do NOT recommend that you park a car near the party. There is a parking garage under Costco, which is located at the intersection diagonal to the play party, at Harrison Street and 11th Street. It costs $10 to park from 8:30 PM to 2:30 AM. However you get to the party, please double check your route here.

We're going to be making toys and/or equipment for screwup's Big Folsom Party. This is a good chance to meet other screwup participants and work on fun projects. Everyone welcome!

screwup is for trannies, queers, and our friends. This event is open to all genders and will be held in the meeting space at Eros. Folks sometimes go out for coffee or food afterwards, so come prepared...
